GHK-CU (Lyophilised)
Product & Research Profile
GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide complex formed from the naturally occurring peptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK) and copper ions. The histidine-containing tripeptide structure gives GHK a strong affinity for copper, creating a well-characterised complex used extensively in peptide and metal-binding research.
GHK-Cu is of particular interest in laboratory studies involving extracellular-matrix regulation, collagen-associated pathways, cellular signalling and gene-expression responses. Research has also examined its interaction with matrix metalloproteinases and their inhibitors, providing a useful model for investigating molecular processes involved in extracellular-matrix turnover and remodelling.
The copper component gives GHK-Cu an additional research dimension compared with the unbound GHK peptide. This makes it useful for studying peptide-mediated copper transport, metal–peptide interactions, copper-dependent enzymatic processes and the influence of metal complexation on peptide behaviour.
Its simple three-amino-acid structure combined with specific copper-binding properties also makes GHK-Cu valuable for structure–activity studies, analytical characterisation, peptide–metal binding assays and comparative research involving GHK and other copper-associated compounds.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in sealed laboratory vials, GHK-Cu is available in 50mg and 100mg quantities for research and analytical applications.
