HCG – 5000IU / 10000IU (Lyophilised)
Product & Research Profile
HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a glycoprotein hormone composed of two non-covalently associated subunits, designated alpha and beta.
The alpha subunit is structurally related to other glycoprotein hormones, while the beta subunit provides the molecular specificity associated with HCG. This heterodimeric structure makes HCG of interest in controlled laboratory research involving glycoprotein hormone structure, receptor-binding behaviour and ligand–receptor interactions.
HCG is studied for its interaction with luteinising hormone/chorionic gonadotropin receptors, making it relevant to controlled research involving receptor signalling, hormone–receptor binding, structure–activity relationships, analytical characterisation and comparative endocrine research.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in sealed laboratory vials, HCG is available in 5000IU and 10000IU quantities for research and analytical applications.
