Product & Research Profile
SNAP-8, also known as Acetyl Octapeptide-3, is a synthetic eight-amino-acid research peptide derived from a region of the SNAP-25 protein involved in SNARE-complex formation and vesicle-fusion signalling.
Its sequence is designed to interact with molecular processes associated with SNAP-25 and SNARE-complex assembly, making it of interest in controlled laboratory research involving peptide–protein interactions, vesicular signalling pathways, membrane-fusion mechanisms and structure–activity relationships.
Because SNAP-8 represents a defined short peptide model of a functional SNAP-25 region, it is also useful for comparative peptide studies, analytical characterisation and reference testing involving SNARE-associated molecular systems.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in sealed laboratory vials, SNAP-8 is available in a 10mg quantity for research and analytical applications.
