KPV – 10mg (Lyophilised)
Product & Research Profile
KPV is a synthetic tripeptide composed of lysine, proline and valine, represented by the sequence Lys-Pro-Val. It corresponds to the C-terminal three-amino-acid sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH).
Despite its very short structure, KPV has been investigated in laboratory models involving inflammatory signalling, epithelial cell responses and peptide-mediated regulation of cellular pathways. Research has examined its influence on NF-κB-associated signalling and other molecular mechanisms involved in inflammatory cell responses.
KPV has also been studied in relation to peptide transport systems, including interaction with the PepT1 transporter in epithelial models. This gives the compound additional research relevance for investigating how short peptides are transported across cellular membranes and how peptide uptake may influence downstream signalling.
Its defined three-amino-acid structure makes KPV particularly useful for structure–activity studies, short-peptide signalling research, peptide transport investigations, analytical characterisation and comparison with the larger α-MSH peptide from which its sequence is derived.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in sealed laboratory vials, KPV is available in a 10mg quantity for research and analytical applications.
